About Anthony's

Anthony's Stamp and Coin has been working with collectors, families, and estate representatives since 1958. Howard Anthony established the business with a deep knowledge of coins and stamps, creating a collector-focused approach that continues to shape how we work today.

Who Are We?

Who Are We?

Anthony's Stamp and Coin is a long-established coin and stamp dealer serving people nationwide. We handle U.S. and world coins, certified coins, gold and silver, currency, paper money, stamps, and complete collections built over decades.

Selling a collection carries more weight than a simple transaction. Some collectors are downsizing, while heirs and executors are handling unexpected inheritances. We review the whole collection and explain what we see in clear terms.

Built By Collectors, Bought By Collectors. That idea has guided us for generations. We are affiliated with the American Numismatic Association, PCGS, NGC, and the American Stamp Dealers Association.

Mission and Vision

Mission and Vision

Mission

Our mission is to give sellers a direct way to sell coins, stamps, precious metals, currency, and complete collections. Anthony's Stamp and Coin reviews the material carefully and makes an informed offer.

We also respect the time behind a collection. Albums, duplicates, common dates, certified pieces, boxes, and better material all matter.

Vision

Our vision builds on the standards Howard Anthony established in 1958. We aim to remain a trusted national buyer for collectors, executors, trustees, and heirs who need an experienced perspective when deciding what to do with a collection.

We want collections to pass from one generation of collectors to another through sound judgment and knowledgeable buying. That keeps our work connected to the collecting community and the people who have spent years building these holdings.

Our Competitive Advantages

Our Competitive Advantages

Trusted Coin Dealer Since 1958

More than six decades in the collectibles trade gives us a long perspective on the market. We have worked with collections through changing market conditions and with multiple generations of sellers.

Extensive U.S. & World Coin Inventory

Our years of handling U.S. and world coins have given us broad familiarity with different series, grades, denominations, and mintmarks. That range of experience helps us understand individual pieces within the context of the larger collection.

Certified Rare Coins & Expert Appraisals

We work with PCGS and NGC certified coins as well as uncertified material that requires closer examination. Our evaluations draw on factors such as condition, rarity, demand, auction activity, and the characteristics of the collection itself.

In-Home & Office Collection Evaluations

Some collections are simply too large or valuable to pack and ship conveniently. For larger holdings, we travel to homes, offices, banks, and safe deposit boxes for in-person evaluations.

No packing. No shipping. No mailing valuable coins to strangers.

Immediate Payment for Individual Coins or Entire Collections

We purchase individual coins, smaller groups, and complete collections. Once we reach an agreement, we make payment immediately.

You do not need to pull out only the key dates or highest-grade pieces before we see the collection. We examine duplicates, common material, albums, boxes, certified coins, and stronger pieces together.

Experienced Numismatic Professionals

Experience becomes particularly important when a collection spans different periods, countries, grading services, and specialties. We bring decades of numismatic experience to each evaluation.

Our exposure to major auctions also gives us a broader understanding of the market. We approach collections from both a collector's perspective and that of active participants in the numismatic trade.

Why Choose Anthony's

Why Choose Anthony's Stamp and Coin?

Selling a collection can raise both practical and personal questions. We examine the material, discuss what we find with you, make an offer, and complete the transaction once an agreement is reached.

A direct sale also avoids many of the steps involved in consignment. Auction commissions, seller fees, shipping costs, insurance expenses, delays, and changing market conditions can all affect the process.

One meeting. One offer. One payment.

Estate executors, trustees, and heirs often bring us collections that belonged to a parent, spouse, relative, or close friend. We understand that the person handling the estate may have little or no experience with coins or stamps, so we explain what we see in clear terms.

Collectors also turn to Anthony's Stamp and Coin when they are ready to downsize or part with a collection built over many years. We do not focus exclusively on the pieces that stand out. Albums, duplicates, common material, boxes, and other parts of the collection remain relevant to our evaluation.
